Teen Adventure Program (TAP)

The Y is offering supervised programming for youth that age out of our SACC & Cool Programs for working families that desire age-appropriate activities for their kids. Pre-teens/Teens can have a great time in a fun & safe environment, meet new friends, field trips, fun games and activities utilizing the DCY facilities and camp during summer break. Youth must bring their own Lunch. Hours are 9:00am – 4:00pm. on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday. TAP registration fees can be paid at a base rate of weekly or monthly payments. Registration begins May 23rd. For youth entering 6th - 9th grade for Fall of 2011. Contact the Y for more information regarding registration.
Y–Teen Center & Programs (grades 6-high school)
The Teen Center is designed to provide teens a structured place to hang out with caring adults and friends, provide tutoring during homework time, structured games activities, basic health & fitness training, character development clubs & activities. Y Teen Program has 3 structured sessions; fall, winter, & spring.
Registration for Y-Teen Center & Fall Programs begin September 8 –2009. Pick up a Parent Handbook & information packet at the Y front desk.
Mondays & Wednesdays 2:30-8:00 PM
Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays 2:30-6:00 PM
Early Release days 1:00-6:00 PM
Non-School Days 1:00-6:00 PM

Hillcrest Family Services is again offering Y Club; an after school program for youth ages 12-18, grades 6th to 12th. The program is designed to help youth become better decision makers and raise their self esteem through team building activities, small group activities, field trips, and other events. It is held at the Dubuque Community Y on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3 – 8. The program lasts the entire school year and consists of 40 girls and boys.

DCY “Intensity” Girls Basketball Developmental Program (grades 3-8)
Intensity is designed to review and develop basketball fundamentals in order to compete in Leagues & Tournaments throughout the Tri-state area & prepare girls for High School Basketball.

Y Teen Club Ignite (high school only!)
Club Ignite is a NEW Christian Based High School Night Club & Coffee Shop for High School aged teenagers.
The Club will feature a D.J., Open Gym & Sports Leagues, Open Mic Nights, Live Bands, games and activities, and a healthy alternative environment for teenagers to Hang out with community and adult volunteers.
Ignite is a free service to Dubuque Community Teens. @ the Dubuque Community Y from 7:00-11:00 pm. Contact Y for updated dates & flyers for Ignite.
