We welcome people of all ages, and backgrounds to participate in programs at the Y that help build a healthy spirit, mind and body.

Policies

Membership Eligibility

Any person who supports and follows the Y code of conduct may become a member of this organization in accordance with such provisions as may be established by the Board of Directors, and shall continue to be a member unless the board or it's agent concludes, in its sole discretion, that a member has failed to live up to the standards and commitments of being a member of the Dubuque Community Y. The DCY also reserves the right to do background checks to determine membership eligibility.

Member Check-In

All members are required to check in at the Member Service Desk using the hand-scan before entering the facilities. Members are responsible for locking and securing their lockers. The Y is not responsible for any personal items that are lost or stolen.

Guest Policy

Dubuque Community Y members are welcome to bring guests for a one-day complimentary visit. Members must accompany their guest and register at the Member Service Desk. Guests are limited to one free visit per year. Members may only bring one guest per day.

Youth Policies

•  All youth members under age 8 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian during open youth and family times.
•  Youth age 8 and older may use the Y facilities during open family times as long as a parent or guardian is in the building.
•  Children age 4 and older must use the same sex locker room or the special needs dressing room with a parent or adult guardian.
•  Women with children under the age of 4 or older girls may use the girls locker room.
•  Men may bring children under the age of 4 and older boys into the Men's or Full Service locker room.
•  Children in adult locker rooms must be supervised by an adult parent or guardian at all times.
