Strong Kids CampaignContributions to the DCY Strong Kids Campaign support positive, values-based programs for children and families. 100% of your donation goes directly to the campaign. The Dubuque Community Y annually gives out over 1,200 scholarships to children and families. We also provide financial support for all programs and services including childcare and camp. Domestic Violence Nights of SafetyDonations to the Domestic Violence Program helps provide safe and confidential service and shelter for abused women and children. All services are free and confidential. These services include 24 hour crisis and information line, 24-hour safe and confidential shelter, counseling services for adults and children, advocacy to keep victims informed about choices within the legal, medical and social service systems and referrals and information to help get connected with other community agencies to meet additional needs. Special EventsYour participation in Dubuque Community Y special events allows us to enhance new and existing programs like the Teen Center and Teen Ignite Club programs provide at risk teens a place to belong and develop personal and professional skills. The Y annual Tasting Party and annual Golf Outing help to support these programs as well as other services provided at no or reduced fees so that no one is turned away due to inability to pay.
