The Dubuque Y Early Learning Center opened on January 8, 2024! This center is the result of a unique set of public/private collaborations including Dubuque Initiatives, Dubuque Community Y, Iowa Workforce Development Department, Greater Dubuque Development, Dubuque Community Schools, and area employers. Its mission is to work with employers to expand the availability of childcare for the region’s workforce.

This NEW facility offers child care for children six weeks through preschool during the school year and has space for children ages five through twelve years old in the summer.

Registration for Summer Adventures 2024 is now open!

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SUMMER ADVENTURES AND YMCA DAY CAMP AT UNION PARK?

A summer’s worth talking about for years to come. Children will be engaged in a variety of activities that promote their educational learning along with their social-emotional growth. Children will work individually, with partners, and in teams to create a summer that will be an “adventure” of a lifetime.

We partner with ISU Educational Outreach, Dubuque County Farm Bureau Educational Outreach, and other local organizations to enrich our programs with activities that provide meaningful experiences and thoughtful engagement.
